Insomnia
Pillow Form | 45 Sewing Needles | 456″ X 1.5″∅ | 2015
Insomnia performs the embodiment of abstract notions alluding to the body. Through the physical qualities of objects, emotions such as comfort, pain, and vulnerability permeate the body and space.
Each day, needles pull the pillow form apart, and the very needle used for the task stays inside the mass. A whole pillow form transforms into a 38 foot long twisted viscera with several needles poking at it.
This precarious shape extracted from its form through injury reflects the unending dimensions of insomnia that connect each day to the next.
